Supplemented Books & e-Versions

Printed Options: Series of 4 issues, issued quarterly for 1 year

For the printed books, we offer the exact same information in two different formats: Fulls Books or Supplemented Books

• Full books are updated and reprinted every 3 months for 4 issues and can begin anytime of year.
• Supplemented books run on a fixed yearly schedule from April to April. The April book is a full book and the remaining three quarters are supplemented, meaning we send you the pages in the book that had changes in either printed format or a digital format. Both the printed and digital supplemented versions start by seleting the format of your April book, loose-leaf or Bound.

Printed Supplements: If you choose the printed supplements, the three supplments are sent only in loose-leaf format.

Print/Digital Supplements:The Print/Digital supplement is sent in a downloadable and printable format. It is important to know that the digital format requires that you download and install the FileOpen plugin to an adobe pdf reader and you will only be able to print once. If you cannot install the plugin, then please choose the fully printed supplement version. Please check this link to see if your operating system is compatible for IOS and Android and for a current list of compatible readers.

e-Version Options: Series of 4 issues, issued quarterly for 1 year with the printed version

Our e-Versions are issued quarterly at the same time as the printed versions. Encrypted PDF files look exactly like the printed book and are delivered either as a Downloadable PDF (Download) or as a Web based URL (Browser UX) and can be used on all desktop platforms and devices that have a PDF reader (Download version) or a Web Browser (Browser UX version). The electronic versions cover all the US DOT and Transport Canada’s Canadian Regulations needed for shipping hazardous materials via all forms of transportation. For the Combo product, we only offer the Unlimited User Access version, not the Concurrent User version.

• Download: Conveniently issued in PDF format for maximum portability and flexibility of use. It is important to know that the download version requires that you download and install the FileOpen plugin to an adobe pdf reader and you will need admin access or IT to install the Plugin. If you cannot install the plugin, then please choose the Browser UX version. Please check this link to see if your operating system is compatible for IOS and Android and for a current list of compatible readers.
• Browser UX: The Browser UX version has all the content of the Download version, but does not require a Plugin to work nor having admin access to your computer. We simply supply you a web based URL with a username and password and you can access the publication using your preferred web browser. It will work with any web browser and on any platform that can open a web browser, such as Laptops, Smart Phones, Tablets etc.

The Download version is a stand-alone application and doesn’t need to connect to server or internet connectivity other than for initial implementation). The Browser UX version uses a Web Based URL and requires only a username/password along with an internet connections. Because it has the same visual layout as the printed books, users of both the printed versions and the electronic versions across the same organization can easily work off the ‘same page’. As with the printed versions, the electronic versions offer all changes highlighted within each issue, all the extensive publisher enhancements and proprietary information included in the printed versions but with much more, extensive linking, and a completely linked and electronic copy of the current ERG.
